Hello! Sorry about the long silence. I've had a tremendously busy and fruitful 12 months. One of my paintings, In All of the Noise, I am silence, was selected as a finalist for the Sanlam National Portrait Award, and my novel, Wat Het Geword van Dinsdag? made it into the last 10 of NB's Groot Afrikaanse Romanwedstryd. Alas, I didn't win either, but I am thrilled with the fact that I came close - twice.
The novel is published by Human & Rousseau and will be on the shelves next month.
On the caricature front, weekends have been busy, especially compared to previous winters.
I've been experimenting with a new brush pen. (I still prefer the tried-and-tested Pentel Aquash, to be honest. More control.) Herewith some examples with the new brush on the block:
